Balance the cold and stable qualities of Kapha by being physically active each day. Mix up what you do to maintain variety as variety also helps to balance you.
- Aim to be physically active for 30 minutes or more most days. Exercising with a friend is a great way for you to start or maintain a regular pattern of exercise.
It is good for you to feel your blood pumping and to warm your body up until it sweats. Be sure to pace yourself by breathing comfortably through the nose if you are new to exercise or have not exercised regularly for the last 6 months.
Include a range of cardio vascular and body resistance or weight training in your exercise routine. Cross train with classes that help develop poise and balance such as body balance, yoga or dance classes.
